Former San Diego Chargers quarterback Jesse Freitas was found dead in a parked car.
This far there has been no indication that Freitas suffered from trauma or foul play. An autopsy was performed on Tuesday but the results are still being awaited from toxicology tests before a final determination of his cause of death is declared said Petaluma police Lt. Dan Fish.
Freitas was found unresponsive in his car on Sunday. The 63-year-old was fully clothed and was positioned as if he was taking a nap.
Drafted by the Chargers in 1974, Freitas played in 13 games over the net two seasons as the backup to Hall of Famer Dan Fouts.
