John Fox has been hired to be the 15th head coach in the history of the Chicago Bears.
Fox will get a four-year deal from the Bears after going 46-18 during a four-year run in Denver.
Broncos general manager John Elway and Fox parted ways following Sunday’s Divisional Round loss to the Indianapolis Colts. With the Broncos window closing, Elway was ready to make a change as he wants the team to reach the next level.
Now Fox will go from working one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in Peyton Manning to trying to figure out how to maximize Jay Cutler with the Bears. He will need to hire offensive and defensive coordinators quickly.
John Fox is officially the Bears' head coach, per NFL source.

Another former Broncos head coach in Mike Shanahan was also rumored to be in the running for the job with the Bears but the team quickly ruled him out. He remains a head coaching candidate for a few different teams and is being considered for the offensive coordinator job with the San Francisco 49ers.
