Charlie Whitehurst plays poorly in season finale

If there was one thing to take away from the Titans this season it was poor quarterback play.

Charlie Whitehurst got the start in Sunday’s game but performed poorly again completing just 12-of-28 passes for 72 yards with one touchdown.

Signed to be the backup of Jake Locker in the offseason, Whitehurst found a way to get into seven games producing six losses proving why he has been viewed as nothing more than a third string quarterback his entire NFL career.

The Titans reportedly are ready to move forward with Zach Mettenberger as their starter next season but given their high draft status one can not entirely rule out a play for a quarterback in the draft.
