The Colts have claimed linebacker Shaun Phillips off of waivers from the Titans.
A year after amassing 10 sacks for the Broncos, Phillips signed a tw0-year deal with the Titans but lasted just 11 games in Tennessee before being waived.
Phillips has not played the same as he did last year picking up just two sacks and three quarterback hits this year. He has just 10 hurries in 363 defensive snaps.
The Colts have 28 sacks as a team but are hoping that the addition of Phillips can improve them at outside linebacker. Entering this season the 33-year-old Phillips had seven or more sacks in eight of his last nine NFL seasons.
