Not that it matters all that much but both the Colts and the Cardinals attempted to claim running back Ben Tate once he was placed on waivers this week.

Tate was waived by the Browns after being ineffective for much of the year. He was then claimed by the Vikings who found out earlier this week that Adrian Peterson would not be returning to the team this year.

The Vikings ended up being awarded Tate since they had the worst record of the three teams.

For now the Colts will remain stuck with Trent Richardson and Dan Herron in their backfield. The Cardinals have struggled to run the ball with Andre Ellington.

In eight games this season Tate has run 106 times for 333 yards (3.1 yards per carry) with four touchdowns.
