Branden Albert placed on season ending IR with knee injury

The season of Miami Dolphins left tackle Branden Albert is indeed over following a knee injury suffered in Sunday’s loss against Detroit.

Albert told teammates last night that he was done for the season and that proves to be true today with the Dolphins placing arguably their best player on injured reserve.

The loss of Albert, who graded out as PFF’s No. 4 tackle, will be a significant loss to the Dolphins ground game as well as the protection of quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Albert landed a five-year contract worth $46 million this past offseason.
