The Houston Texans may be ready to make a change at quarterback. After weeks of watching Ryan Fitzpatrcik struggle to move the ball head coach Bill O’Brien declined to endrose him as the starter going forward saying that the team would “continue to evaluate” the situation.

With a bye week coming, the Texans may be ready to move onto Mallett who would have two full weeks to prepare for his first NFL start. That start could come against Cleceland.

Through nine games Fitzpatrick has an 11:8 touchdown to interception ratio. The team’s No. 3 quarterback Tom Savage was inactive a week ago.

O’Brien also declined to give any information on the status of running back Arian Forster who is dealing with a groin injury. He is currently listed as day to day heading into the bye. In all likelihood Foster could return for Week 11.
