Calvin Johnson remained sidelined during the Lions practice session held on Wednesday. While Johnson traveled with the Lions to London there has been no indication that he will actually play. If anything he is simply there as a good-will ambassador of the NFL.

Johnson is said to have resumed running this week but signs point to a return in Week 10, following the Lions Week 9 bye.

The Lions have also been hit by the injury bug at tight end.

Joseph Fauria remained sidelined with an ankle injury which he suffered at home prior to Week 4. Brandon Pettigrew was no were to be seen during Wednesday’s practice and Eric Ebron also remains sidelined with a hamstring pull. Right now it is looking as if the Lions will be forced to go with Kellen Davis and Jordan Thompson at tight end come Sunday.

One bit of good news for the Lions on the injury front is that running back Theo Riddick returned to practice. Riddick will be looking for anything he can get as Reggie Bush is back as the Lions No. 2 back for their game in London.
