Robert Griffin III still on track to start Week 8 against Cowboys

The Washington Redskins pulled off a 19-17 win against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday after Colt McCoy entered the game sending Kirk Cousins to the bench.

Now the Redskins and coach Jay Gruden face an interesting question: Who starts in their Week 8 game against the Cowboys?

“You would like to have your decision made as soon as possible,” Gruden said via CSN Washington. “Now, you throw Robert into the mix. Robert has a chance to practice on Wednesday and we have to see where he is. See where he is health-wise, and from there I will make a decision from watching the tape of what I’m going to do.”

The Redskins would figure to start McCoy if Griffin cannot go next week. The former Texas standout started the second half of Sunday’s win after Cousins committed his second turnover of the game and 11th of the season.
