In what will be a big boost for the defense of the Cincinnati Bengals, Vontaze Burfict has been cleared to play in Sunday’s Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Burfict was able to practice on Friday and has been cleared by an independent neurologist to return to the football field. Burfict left the Bengals Week 1 contest in the second quarter with the concussion.

The Falcons posted 445 yards passing and 123 yards rushing in their Week 1 win over the Saints. They do not figure to match that sort of output in Sunday’s game.
