On Wednesday Robert Grinffin III confirmed to media members that tight end Jordan Reed would not play.

Reed, 24, pulled a hamstring while trying to hurdle a Houston defender in Washington’s Week 1 loss. His status beyond the upcoming game against Jacksonville is still up in the air.

“He’s a big loss, a great player,” RGIII said of the tight end.

Logan Paulson will be used to block in Week 2 while Niles Paul figures to get targeted in the passing game.
