Wes Welker is not considering retirement from the NFL following his latest concussion.

Welker suffered a concussion in the Broncos third preseason game against the Texans on Saturday following a hit from safety D.J. Swearington.

“That’s not been brought up at all,” coach John Fox said.

The now 33-year-old Welker has suffered three concussions in the last two seasons. He was outfitted in a special helmet following concussions last season.

Welker will make roughly $6 million this season. In 13 games for the Broncos last year he caught 73 passes for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Broncos have no shortage of offensive weapsons and may choose to scale back Welker’s workload when there is the chance.
