Linebacker Vontaze Burfict left Sunday’s third preseason game with a hamstring injury.
Burfict recorded 171 tackles, forced one fumble, and intercepted one pass last season being a key cog in the defensive efforts of the Cincinnati Bengals.
With reports circulating that the team and Burfict are close or have reached an extension this is not what anyone wanted to see. Burfict played only one defensive series.
