Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel did not have his A-game on Monday night against the Washington Redskins.

Manziel became frustrated with the Redskins defense and opted to extend his middle finger rather then produce stats on the field.

On the night Manziel was 7-of-16 for 65 yards and a touchdown which came against the Redskins second team defense in the second half.

The Browns had planned to make an announcement about who would start the regular season under center on Tuesday.

Speaking after the game Pettine said that he was informed of Manziel’s actions after the game and termed them “disappointing.” Pettine went on to say that it would have no bearing on who would start the season opener. Pettine said that the starter for the Browns would be the quarterback who gives them the best chance to win.
