Dockett was expected to be a large part of the Cardinals defense again this season but if he is out the team will be forced to turn to third-round pick Kareem Martin.
The Cadinals had already lost Daryl Washington for the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy while key linebacker Karlos Dansby left via free agency.
In a bit of good news for the Cardinals there is hope that corner Tyrann Mathieu could be ready for Week 1.
