Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing is ready to return from a broken fibula and LCL tear.
While the 27-year-old has not been given clearance yet, he expects to be full go when the Houston Texans play against the Washington Redskins in Week 1 of the regular season.
Cushing has been saying he was 100-percent since April and expressing his belief that he will be ready for the start of the season so his recent comments to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle are not a surprise.
Brian Cushing said he's not sure when he'll be able to go full speed but he knows he'll be ready for opener against Washington.

In seven games last seaosn Cushing was in on 48 tackles while recording 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception. A healthy Cushing will help the Texans earn more than just the two wins they had in 2013.
