Former Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent was let out of jail on Sunday reports the Dallas Morning News.

Brent had been in jail following his conviction for a drunken car crash that killed his friend and teammate, Jerry Brown.

He had been sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years’ probation.

While Brent retired from the NFL last year the Cowboys recently did not rule out re-signing him.

“I’ll weigh in on that when the time comes,” Cowboys owner Jones said in February. “He’s retired and he has got a lot of work ahead of him. But obviously we hope he does all of the right things. And if he does, at some point, and he feels like he has got his priorities in the right order and he wants to play football, then, we’ll discuss that.”
