The Washington Redskins waived four players on Saturday.
Undrafted free agent quarterback Tommy Rees and safety Jose Gumbs were the highest profile names released.
Rees spent his college career at Notre Dame before going undrafted this year. He later signed on with the Redskins but was not long for the roster.
Gumbs on the other hand appeared in eight games for the Redskins making one start.
Also earning their release were DL Chris Davenport and TE Kevin Perry.
The Redskins signed DE Frank Kease, CB Courtney Bridget, Cd Blake Sailers and S Ross Madison in corresponding moves.
