The Dallas Cowboys are working out free agent running back Ryan Williams according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Williams was waved by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this week. He was the No. 38 overall pick in 2011 but was inactive for all 16 games during the 2013 season. He has been trying to return from a knee injury suffered during his rookie season.
The Cowboys currently have DeMarco Murray as their starter with Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar behind him on the depth chart. They did not draft a running back in this years NFL Draft. They signed Ben Malena of Texas A&M and Glasco Martin of Baylor to take place in rookie minicamp.
If Williams has anything left Dallas would seem to be a good fit.
