Rams select Greg Robinson with No. 2 overall pick

Two years ago the St. Louis Rams traded away their first round pick which ended up being Robert Griffin III. In exchange the Rams got a pair of first round picks from the Washington Redskins.

On Thursday night the Rams selected Greg Robinson at No. 2 overall with the second of those first round picks.

Robinson, a tackle out of Auburn, is expected to provide running lanes for the Rams backs as well as protection for quarterback Sam Bradford.

Following the selection of Robinson, ESPN’s Adam Schefter spoke on their draft show that the Rams plan to start him at right guard and eventually move him to left tackle. How true that is remains to be seen.
