The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to paint a bleak picture as it regards to the return of wide receiver Justin Blackmon.

In fact ESPN’s Britt McHenry reported Wednesday that the Jaguars are “not expecting Justin Blackmon at all for 2014.” These words are said to have come out of general manager David Caldwell’s mouth.

How much information the Jaguars truly have about the status of Blackmon continues to be in question. This could be simple draft posturing to prompt someone to trade up for the No. 3 pick and a shot at Sammy Watkins.

Right now the Jaguars would start the season with Cecil Shorts and Ace Sanders starting while Mike Brown serves as their No. 3 receiver.
