Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has plead not guilty on aggravated assault charges which stem from an incident in which he allegedly punched and knocked out then-girlfriend Janay Palmer.

In a plea offer Rice was given probation without jail time and also required to undergo anger management counseling. He will be back in court on May 29 at 9 am for an update on his status.

CBS Baltimores Mike Hellgren reports Rice told him “married life is good.” Palmer, who has since married Rice, did not speak other than to say “talk to my lawyer.”

Charges against Palmer have been dropped.
