The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed Jordan Todman who had been an exclusive rights free agent.

Todman, 24, appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars in 2013 while making two starts. He ran for 256 yards on 76 carries finding the endzone twice. As a receiver he caught 14 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown.

The Jaguars can pencil him in at No. 2 on their depth chart behind Toby Gerhart. He will compete with Denard Robinson for playing time and could end up losing out as Robinson has more home run potential.

Todman’s new deal is for $645,000. He is the latest member of the 2013 Jaguars to be re-signed after the team recently agreed to a deal with wide receiver Mike Brown.

Saints re-sign Robert Meachem

Wide receiver Robert Meachem has re-signed with the New Orleans Saints on a one-year deal.

Meachem returns to the Saints for the 2014 season after catching just 16 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns last season.

His prospects for improving upon those numbers are not high. He will not be assured of playing time with the current set of players on the Saints roster and the team figures to add another option in the draft.
