Peyton Manning will have his neck exam on Monday reports ESPN. The Denver Broncos are not expecting the results for Monday’s exam to be any different than the one their star quarterback underwent a season ago.
After the Super Bowl, Manning passed an exit physical which is given to all players. His exam on Monday is simply required by his contract and will simply serve as yet another message that Manning will be back in 2014 aiming to match his record setting season of 2013.
Manning has had four neck surgeries, including a spinal fusion that kept him out of the 2011 season. THere have been no issues with his neck since returning for the 2012 season.
This year Manning won his record fifth NFL MVP award after tossing a record 55 touchdowns and 5,477 yards. His five-year, $96 million deal runs through the 2016 season.
