Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson told the Houston Chronicle that he had recovered from a wrist injury that he suffered at the end of last season.

Entering his 12th season, Johnson knows he’s not a young guy anyore but all he wants to do is play football. Johnson is coming off back to back 100 reception seasons. Last year he caught 109 balls for 1.407 yards and five touchdowns.

“I know I’m not a second-, third-, or fourth-year guy. Everything comes to an end at some point,” said Johnson. “But right now I don’t know when it might end. I’m feeling fine. I’m feeling healthy. So I’m going to continue to play as long as I can.”

As long as he can play Johnson intends to suit up.

“Everybody knows that day when it’s over. When that day comes, I’ll have no problem stepping away. But right now I feel fine. I feel like I still have a few more years left in me.”
