The Jacksonville Jaguars may be keeping tight end Mercedes Lewis for the 2014 season.
Still Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports hears that Lewis will be back as the Jaguars still consider him an asset despite a $6.7 million salary.
With $50 million in cap space the Jaguars can afford to pay Lewis. In 11 games during the 2013 season Lewis caught 25 passes for 359 yards and four touchdowns. He’s been in a decline since a breakout 2010 season that saw him haul in 10 touchdown catches.
