The New England Patriots will have to make a decision on cornerback Aqib Talib.
Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald believes that there is “no chance” that the New England Patriots use the franchise tag on Talib which would top $11 million in 2014. Instead he believes that the Patriots will simply offer a team friendly deal and expect him to look else where.
Talib took that deal a year ago and it bit him after he got injured in Week 6 and then again in the AFC Championship game for a second year in a row.
The Patriots need Talib to accept a deal around $7 million, he took $5 million in 2013.
