Kellen Winslow Jr. pleads not guilty to synthetic marijuana charge

New York Jets tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. had pled not guilty to synthetic marijuana charge. While Winslow did not appear in court, two attorney’s appeared in his place to enter the plea.

Winslow, 30, was arrested in November after a woman called police to report him masturbating in his vehicle at a Target. While Winslow was not charged for lewdness, police allegedly found synthetic marijuana in his vehicle.

The executive director of the NFL’s players’ union said Winslow should not face any discipline from the league because synthetic marijuana is not listed in its drug policy as a banned substance.

Winslow is set to become a few agent next month. In 12 games for the Jets, Winslow caught 31 passes for 388 yards and two touchdowns.
