Super Bowl XLVIII will not have snow, temp in 40s with chance of rain

There will not be snow for Super Bowl XLVIII.

Weather is expected to be in the 40s for much of the game. The high for East Rutherford, NJ today is 49 degrees with the low being 32.

There is a small chance of rain at the 6:30 pm ET kickoff for the game. It looks as if the doomsday predictions of a cold weather Super Bowl were greatly exaggerated.

Odds: Broncos a 2.5 point favorite against Seahawks

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell already had plans to be sitting with fans for the game, even when there were predictions of record lows.

Field conditions at MetLife Stadium are said to be excellent. All that’s left is a game to be played.
