Cleveland Browns wide receiver Davone Bess was arrested for assault Friday morning.
Bess, 28, was taken into police custody at Fort Lauderdale International Airport at 6:19 am after assaulting an officer/firefighter according to CBS Miami.
It has been a wild week for Bess who posted a photo of what appeared to be marijuana to his twitter.
A source told Cleveland Plain Dealer beat writer Mary Kay Cabot that Bess was dealing with a serious family issue back home in Oakland.
In December Bess posted a photo of him lighting something on his deck. He missed the final two weeks of the season for personal reasons.
Bess finished the 2013 season with 42 catches for 362 yards and two touchdowns.
