There is no guarantee that the Baltimore Ravens will have 2011 NFL Defensive MVP Terell Suggs when they take the field in 2014.
Speaking to reports on Wednesday general manager Ozzie Newson made it clear that the Ravens would evaluate all possibilities for the upcoming season. Suggs is set to make $7.8 million in 2014 but would count a whopping $12.4 million against the salary cap.
Of concern for the Ravens is the perception that Suggs wore down as the season went along. Suggs had nine of his ten sacks in the first eight games of the season. Over the last eight games Suggs recorded his 10th sack and 20 tackles.
