The Oakland Raiders and Dennis Allen will have a meeting on Tuesday that figures to decide the future of the coach.

UPDATE: Allen appears safe, assistants given one-year extensions

Allen reportedly wants to keep his coaching staff in place, something that does not sit well with Raiders owner Mark Davis. The Raiders have posted back to back 4-12 seasons under Allen.

Allen wants to retain his assistant coaches with two-year contracts reports ESPN, but Davis is resisting Allen’s request and would prefer to offer just one-year deals.

This is hardly a surprise as the Raiders blocked Allen’s request for extensions for his coaches during the season.

Allen has two years left on his contract. The Raiders last finished above. 500 in 2002 when they went to the Super Bowl under Bill Callahan.
