Jay Cutler is the Chicago Bears quarterback.
Even as Josh McCown put up wins and stats in Cutler’s absence the Bears have maintained that the job belonged to Cutler when he returned.
They proved that statement true on Thursday.
Some will question turning the starters job back over the Culter but if the Bears are interested in bringing him back for the 2014 season its the right move. Cutler, 30, is four years younger than McCown who up until his recent string of success had been little more than a journeyman backup.

“It is good to be back,” Cutler said. “A month out is long. It’s a long time. So it felt good to get back out there with the guys and get rolling again.”
This season Cutler has copleted 63 percent of his passes (highest sine 2007) for 1,908 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
