Vikings keep Peterson and Gerhart out of practice

The Minnesota Vikings are not sure who will start at running back in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Both Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart were held out of practice on Thursday.

Peterson is sidelined with a foot injury while Gerhart is dealing with a hamstring. Gerhart is the more likely of the two to play in Sunday’s game but there is a chance the Vikings could be left with undrafted free agent Matt Asiata as their starter.

The Vikings also were without tight end John Carlson.
