The Cleveland Browns will work out quarterback Caleb Hanie on Tuesday. Hanie could quickly become the back-up quarterback in Cleveland behind Brandon Weeden.

Hanie has not thrown a regular season pass since 2011 and was buried as the third string quarterback on the Denver Broncos last season.

The Browns have suffered a slue of injuries at quarterback this season losing Brian Hoyer to an ACL early in the year while Jason Campbell was knocked out of Sunday’s loss to Pittsburgh with a concussion.

“We’re looking at all those options,” Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said Monday while speaking to reporters. “There’s a good chance we’ll sign one before the game.”

Hanie lost out on the back-up job to Tyrod Taylor in Baltimore during the preseason. He has been unemployed since.
