With all the attention the Miami Dolphins are getting due to the alleged bullying of offensive lineman Johnathan Martin by teammate Richie Incognito it was inevitable that other odd stories would emerge.

Ever wonder why the Dolphins traded corner back Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts?

It’s because he went to the bathroom too much according to the Miami Herald. No, really… it is… that nugget was slipped into a story about how Joe Philbin opted to keep Incognito on the club after an incident at Fins Weekend 2012 at a golf course.

Coach Joe Philbin, who was in his third month as Dolphins coach at the time, didn’t cut Incognito. Oh, the coach was seen that season as standing up for the right kind of players, as Miami cut Chad Johnson after his domestic violence issue and traded Vontae Davis because, in part, he went to the bathroom too much during practice.

Interesting. Davis was the 25th overall pick out of Illinois in 2009. The Colts acquired him for a second round pick prior to the 2012 season.
