Case Keenum will get the start for the Houston Texans in Week 9 when they face off against the Indianapolis Colts.
Keenum was impressive in his first NFL start prior to the bye, going 15-of-25 for 271 yards with one touchdown and one turnover in a very difficult spot at Kansas City.
Matt Shaub has been dealing with an ankle injury, but even if he was 100% – chances are he would still not get the start.
Keenum, an undrafted rookie has the chance to run with the job on Sunday. The Texans are playing at home and are facing a good but not dominant Colts secondary. If Keenum sustains a high level of play, he could push Shaub to a back-up roll for the remainder of the season.
