The New York Jets were concerned after cornerback Antonio Cromartie went down with a knee injury during Thursday’s practice. Later an MRI showed that Cromartie had escaped with just an hyperextended knee.
Cromartie MRI shows hyperextended knee, not serious, per source. Status for Sunday uncertain. #nyj

The loss of Cromartie would have been a big blow to the Jets defense which has been the key to their 3-2 start this season. If Cromartie is unable to play in Sunday’s game, against Pittsburgh, the Jets would be forced to go with Kyle Wilson and Darrin Walls at cornerback.
