Selected to three Pro Bowls, Winfield was one of the NFL’s better cornerbacks. He was released by the Minnesota Vikings in March and signed on with Seattle. The Seahawks had planned to use him as their third cornerback behind Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner.
Winfield appeared in 191 games, picked off 27 passes. He is best remembered for his time with Minnesota and Buffalo.
