The Oakland Raiders may be abandoning the idea of Matt Flynn as their starting quarterback. After head coach Dennis Allen said that he would evaluate the starting quarterback job the team appears ready to give Terrelle Pryor the starting job.
Pryor will start the Raiders preseason finale and barring a complete disaster is on pace to start Week 1 of the season.
Matt Flynn will be held out of practice with arm soreness.

Acquired in the off-season Flynn’s skill set never meshed in Oakland. A weak arm and poor supporting cast made him an ill fit. Pryor lacks accuracy but will be able to use his feet to try and move the offense even if the Raiders lack NFL caliber receivers.
An official announcement should be forthcoming following the Raiders preseason finale on Thursday against Seattle.
The Raiders open the regular season Sept. 8 in Indianapolis.
