Tom Brady expects to play in Friday’s preseason game
Tom Brady going down with a knee injury in practice appears to have been a little over blown. The two-time NFL MVP went down after left tackle Nate Solder was pushed into him during a practice on Wednesday.
An MRI on Brady’s knee came back negative and reports are now saying that the 36-year-old quarterback simply has a bruise.
There is also no concern over the ACL that Brady tore in Week 1 of the 2008 season reports NFL.com’s Albert Breer.
Signs now point to Brady starting in Friday’s preseason game against Tampa Bay. Never one to pass up reps, Brady is looking for all the plays he can get as the Patriots have a new core of receivers.
