A former Heisman winner at Ohio State, Smith never had success at the NFL level spending four seasons and making just eight starts. Smith joined the Baltimore Ravens as a fifth round pick in 2007 and spent time as the backup to Joe Flacco before playing the 2010 season in San Francisco.
In 2010 Smith started six games for the 49ers but managed just 1,176 yards passing with five touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 50.3 percent of his passes.
