The Green Bay Packers are giving Vince Young a workout on Monday. Young, 30, has not played in the NFL since 2011.

Graham Harrel and B.J. Coleman are currently competing for the backup spot behind Aaron Rodgers.

During his career Young appeared in 60 games completing 755-of-1,304 passes (57.9 percent) for 8,964 yards, 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions.

Green Bay’s level of interest in Young is tied to their opponents to open the season, or more so the option. The Packers will try to stop 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in Week 1 and then play against the Redskins and Robert Griffin in Week 2. Young would act as a valuable scout team member.
