The role of Tim Tebow on the New England Patriots is unclear. On Friday morning Patriots head coach Bill Belichick told reporters that Tebow would be used in the best interest of the team.

“We’ll use Tim wherever we feels it’s best for the team” said Belichick.

Tebow was signed by the Patritos but his role has yet to be fully determined. Behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallet the Patriots have Tebow third on the depth chart at quarterback.

During Friday’s practice Tebow was seen catching passes and lining up with running backs and receivers in addition to taking quarterback reps at Patriots camp.

Tebow has repeatably told reporters that he will do “whatever it takes” to make the Patriots 53-man roster this season.

Last season Tebow was 6-for-8 while throwing the ball and made 32 attempts at running the ball. He did not catch a pass during the 2012 season.
