Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Eric Wright failed his 49ers physical and was immediately released by Tampa Bay.

The Bucs traded Wright to the 49ers for a conditional 2014 late-round pick last Friday. Wright was arrested for DUI the previous Friday night in Los Angeles.
San Francisco’s failure of Wright on his physical suggests they did not know of the arrest before the transaction. The Buccaneers wanted nothing to do with Wright and cut him outright. He’s now an unrestricted free agent.
