The Washington Redskins have signed wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth to a contract. Head coach Mike Shanahan spoke on Tuesday saying that the team expected to sign the 32-year-old.
Last year Stallworth spent nearly the entire year looking for worth before signing with New England. He played one game for the Patriots catching a 63 yard touchdown and injured his ankle.
In March Stallworth suffered severe burns from a hot-air balloon accident. He figures to occupy a small situational role with the Redskins due to his deep ball play.
Stallworth has only caught 25 passes over the last three years so expectations should be relatively low.
