Jags GM: Plan is to get Denard Robinson 10-15 touches a game

Jacksonville Jaguars GM David Caldwell has high hopes for fifth round draft pick Denard Robinson. Robinson played primarily as a quarterback while at Michigan but figures to serve as a change-of-pace running back in Jacksonville.

On Tuesday Caldwell said that the Jaguars are targeting 10-15 touches for Robinson during his rookie campaign, reports Alex Marvez. He will also return kicks for the Jaguars.

Robinson will probably rarely, if ever, see that many touches in a game considering the lack of talent across the Jaguars roster but does shed some light on the backfield situation in Jacksonville. It can be assumed that Robinson is ahead of roster holdover Justin Forsett on the depth chart.
