Raiders acquire QB Matt Flynn from Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have traded quarterback Matt Flynn to the Oakland Raiders for two undisclosed draft picks. The Raiders will give up late-round picks in 2014 and 2015 according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

Oakland is also in the process of working out a deal with Arizona which will send Carson Palmer to the Cardinals in exchange for a late round pick.

Flynn was signed by the Seahawks last year as a free agent but never started for the team after they drafted Russel Wilson. With Wilson firmly entrenched as the quarterback of the Seahawks the team found Flynn expendable.

The price tag for Flynn is half of what the Raiders would have paid Palmer but his career has been defined by a late season game in 2011 against a Lions team which was on cruise control heading to the playoffs.
