After being linked to Darrelle Revis since their Super Bowl loss the San Francisco 49ers appear ready to add a big name corner to their team. That player could be Nnamdi Asomugha who was recently released by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Featuring one of, if not the most, talented rosters the 49ers biggest weakness is at cornerback.
Asomugha failed to impress in Philadelphia after signing a large deal on the free agent market but a return to the bay area may be just the trick to return him to the high level of play he once had.
For eight seasons Asomugha played with the Oakland Raiders, after playing at the University of California in college.
Houston and Arizona are expected to have some level of interest in the 31-year-old.
