Despite it being the Cowboys top priority this offseason the team has had no talks with the agent for quarterback Tony Romo. No talk are planned between Romo’s agent and the Cowboys at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. They will however speak with the agent of linebacker Anthony Spencer at that time.

The Cowboys have given Romo numerous votes of confidence over the last year and insist that a deal will eventually get worked out.

“We’ll get there,” executive vice president and director of player personnel Stephen Jones said.

Currently Romo is slated to count $16.8 million against the 2013 salary cap. Under Romo the Cowboys have won a single playoff game and have missed the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, finishing 8-8 in each of the last two.
